Azealia Banks was offered a touring spot in the opening slot of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday tour, which she had to turn down. Banks is currently at work on her new album, Broke with Expensive Taste, which would have interfered with an extensive touring schedule.
"I got invited to tour with Nicki Minaj in Europe but I can't go because I have to finish my album during that time," tweeted Banks.
When Minaj hits the U.K. in the fall her touring mates will be Tyga and Misha; she says the tour will be memorable:
"I can't wait to blow the stage out bigger and better and crazier. I promise you this is gonna be one for the books."
Broke with Expensive Tastes, Banks' debut for Interscope Records, currently has no release date. Minaj begins the North American leg of her tour on August 12 in Vancouver.
