Constellation Software Inc. (CSU.TO) Wednesday reported net income for the second quarter of $17.59 million or $0.83 per share, down from $55.99 million or $2.64 per share in the year-ago period.
The latest quarter's results include a deferred income tax recovery of $1.70 million compared to deferred income tax recovery of $40.55 million in the year-ago period.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the quarter rose to $36.16 million or $1.71 per share from $33.51 million or $1.58 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Revenues for the quarter grew 7 percent to $208.97 million from $195.10 million in the year-ago quarter.
Subsequent to June 30, 2012, the company declared a quarterly dividend of $1.00 per share payable on October 3, 2012 to all shareholders of record as of September 17, 2012.
