RSA Insurance Six-month Profit Declines - Quick Facts

RSA Insurance Group Plc (RSA: Quote,RSA.L,RSANY.PK) posted six-month profit after tax of 164 million pounds versus 277 million pounds last year. Earnings per share dropped to 4.4 pence from 7.7 pence in the prior year. Operating earnings per share fell to 4.6 pence from 7 pence in the year-ago period.

Pre-tax profit decreased year-over-year to 233 million pounds from 376 million pounds.

Net written premiums increased to 4.28 billion pounds from 4.19 billion pounds in the previous year.
