Toby Keith postponed a concert for Army troops at Fort McCoy in Sparta, Wisconsin on Thursday (August 2) in order to have his gall bladder surgically removed. Gretchen Wilson, James Otto and JT Hodges have been scheduled in Keith's place, who has pushed his own performance there back to August 30.
Krystal Keith, Toby's daughter, updated his condition on Twitter, saying: "My dad is doing good today. He's a champ! Surgery went well, just resting! Keep him in your prayers!"
A Monday news release says that Keith, 51, will resume his Live in Overdrive tour Friday at the WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Keith released the lead single, "I Like Girls That Drink Beer," from his upcoming album to radio and digital outlets on July 24.
