Genpact Ltd. (G: Quote) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $0.32 after the close Wednesday, up from $0.22 last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.23.
Affiliates of Bain Capital Partners have agreed to purchase approximately 68 million Genpact common shares from entities affiliated with General Atlantic and Oak Hill Capital Partners for $14.76 per share, or approximately $1 billion.
Genpact gapped open higher Thursday and rose during the first half of the morning. The stock closed up by 1.37 at $18.52 on above average volume. Genpact climbed above a 2 1/2 week range and set a new high for the year.
