Weight Watchers International (WTW) reported second quarter EPS of $1.36 after the bell Wednesday, up from $1.17 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.36. The company also lowered its full year 2012 EPS forecast to between $4.00 and $4.20, from prior expectations of $4.60 to $4.80. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $4.61.
Weight Watchers International gapped open sharply lower Thursday and fell in early trade, before settling into a range. Shares finished down by 6.13 at $42.66 on above average volume. The stock dropped below a one-month range and set a new low for the year.
