An indicator of service sector activity in China increased in July, suggesting a faster expansion of the sector, the latest survey by Markit Economics showed Friday.
The headline HSBC business activity index rose to 53.1 in July from 52.3 in June. An index reading above 50 indicates expansion of the sector.
The composite output index, that covers both manufacturing and services, rose to 51.9 in July from 50.6 in June.
