Elster Group Q2 Profit Up - Quick Facts

Elster Group SE (ELT: Quote) posted second-quarter net income attributable to Elster of $19.2 million or $0.68 per share versus $14.4 million or $0.51 per share last year.

Earnings per ADS rose to $0.17 from $0.13 last year. Non-GAAP earnings per ADS were $0.24 versus $0.27 in the prior-year quarter.

On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.27 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues declined to $463.4 million from $486.7 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $472.56 million.

The decrease in revenues were driven by currency translation as revenues increased 2.2 percent on a constant currency basis.

Elster reaffirmed the full-year 2012 outlook it provided in February 2012.
