Globus Medical Inc. (GMED: Quote), a spinal implant manufacturer, said it has priced of its initial public offering of 8.33 million Class A common shares at a price of $12 per share, comprising 2.08 million shares offered by Globus Medical and 6.25 million shares offered by selling stockholders.

Further, Globus Medical has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to buy up to an additional 1.25 million shares to cover any over-allotments. The offering may be complete on August 8, 2012. The shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange today under the symbol GMED.

The company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, also came in above analysts' expectations as did its quarterly sales.
