Katherine Jackson Seeking Co-Guardianship Of Grandchildren

Katherine Jackson Seeking Co-Guardianship Of Grandchildren
8/4/2012 6:05 PM ET

Katherine Jackson will file legal documents seeking to make her co-guardian of her son Michael Jackson's three children, USA Today reports.

The proposal submitted by Jackson's lawyer, Perry Sanders Jr., looks to take some of the burden off the 82-year-old grandmother, with Sanders saying it would let her focus on raising the three children, Paris, Prince and Blanket, while not having to deal with financial or logistical issues.

T.J. Jackson would remain a co-guardian as well; he would control the staff and day-to-day operations of the home Katherine shares with the children.

The papers are expected to be submitted to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Beckloff, who will most likely call a hearing on the matter. It was Beckloff who suspended Katherine Jackson's guardianship.
