Gartner Inc. (IT: Quote) reported second quarter net income of $0.43 per share Friday morning, up from $0.32 per share in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.41. The company also reiterated its full year EPS forecast of $1.63 to $1.79. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.72.
Shares of Gartner have risen sharply in early trade Friday and are now up 2.98 at $47.52. The stock has broken out of a one-month range and has set a new high for the year.
