The yen has been declining against the pound in the New York session on Friday after the release of strong nonfarm payrolls data in July.
The yen hit a 2-day low of 122.71 against the pound, compared to an early Asian session's multi-day high of 121.12. On the downside, the yen may target 123.00 level.
