Natalie Dormer In Talks For 'The Counselor'

Natalie Dormer In Talks For 'The Counselor'
8/3/2012 1:30 PM ET

"The Tudors" and "Game of Thrones" star Natalie Dormer is reportedly in talks to appear in an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's drug novel "The Counselor." Michael Fassbender has signed on for the lead role and will play an attorney on the Mexican border who gets mixed up in the cocaine trade.

If Dormer does, in fact, take the role she will join an all-star cast including Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Brad Pitt. Bardem appears as Fassbender's wealthy business partner and Pitt will play their unscrupulous accomplice.

Ridley Scott has already signed on to direct the project and Nick Wechsler and Paula Mae Schwartz will produce. Thus far there is no word on the nature of Dormer's proposed role, but hollywoodreporter.com reports that it is a supporting role.
