Duff McKagan has revealed the trailer for The Taking, an upcoming film featuring his band Duff McKagan's Loaded. A total of 10 vignettes/music videos will tell a tale of totally bizarre adventures, imprisoned band members, and kids-size ice cream cones.
Helmed by Seattle filmmaker and documentarian Jamie Burton Chamberlin, the series explores the lyrical content of Loaded's studio album of the same title.
The film will feature cameos by Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Sean Kinney (Alice in Chains), Gilby Clarke (Guns N' Roses), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) and Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead), among others.
"Duff is a super guy, one of the nicest guys you could meet," Chamberlain told the West Seattle Herald. "He has shown a strong commitment to getting this project off the ground. He's got a great business sensibility and is totally creative, qualities that draw me to him as an artist. He's just a classy cat."
The Taking is expected to see a fall release.
