UNS Energy Corp. (UNS) said it has appointed Mark Mansfield as Vice President of Generation. Mansfield, 57, will succeed Andy Hoekstra, 64, who will retire from his position as Vice President of Generation for UNS Energy by the end of the year. Mansfield will oversee power plants operated by subsidiaries Tucson Electric Power or TEP and UniSource Energy Services, and will report to Michael DeConcini, Senior Vice President of Operations.
Mansfield has served as Senior Director of Generation at TEP, managing the operations of the H. Wilson Sundt Generating Station and other local generating resources. He also has overseen TEP's interest in remote plants co-owned with other utilities, including the gas-fired Luna Energy Facility and three coal fired plants, the San Juan, Navajo and Four Corners Generating Stations. Before coming to TEP in June 2008, Mansfield served as Vice President of Thermal Operations for PacifiCorp Energy.
