Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow have debuted the video for their remake of the Johnny and June Carter Cash classic, "If I Were a Carpenter."
The live performance was filmed in April at a Johnny Cash tribute concert in Austin, Texas. It is currently available at VEVO. A physical version of the track will appear on the CD/DVD set, We Walk The Line: A Celebration of the Music Of Johnny Cash.
"If he was going to sing a song, in order for him to embody that song he wanted to know exactly what the intention of it was," Crow said in praise of Cash. "That's one of the reasons that when we hear him, we believe him."
We Walk The Line: A Celebration of the Music Of Johnny Cash, featuring appearances by Kris Kristofferson, Ronnie Dunn, Jamey Johnson, Shooter Jennings and more, is due August 7.
