Canadian airline WestJet Airline Ltd. (WJA.TO) announced July traffic results with revenue passenger miles, or traffic, of 1.62 billion, up 6.6% from last year.
Capacity, measured in available seat miles, grew 2.0% year-over-year to 1.9 billion from 1.86 billion.
Load factor was 85.3% versus 81.6% a year ago.
"Demand remains strong and momentum continues at WestJet with another record load factor and strong year-over-year traffic growth," commented WestJet President and CEO Gregg Saretsky.
