Sharon Osbourne Explains Her Exit From 'America's Got Talent'

Sharon Osbourne has reportedly cut ties with "America's Got Talent" after learning that her son, fellow reality star Jack Osbourne, was cut from the cast of "Stars Earn Stripes." According to a story from nypost.com, Sharon believes that Jack was wrongfully terminated because of his multiple sclerosis.

The 26-year-old had signed on to appear on the show and was only dismissed after producers deemed him a "health risk." Speaking with the news source, Sharon explained that her loyalty is with Jack, not NBC:

"I just can't be fake. It's discrimination, and it was badly handled. It's time to move on," she said. "They can't make me do something I don't want to do," she insisted. "All they can do is stop me from being a judge on another network for five years."

"I was working without a signed contract right up until the live shows started on 'America's Got Talent,'" Osbourne noted. "Everything is done at the last minute. We took six months to negotiate back and forth."

She adds that Jack's termination was a deep blow to his morale at an especially emotional time:

"He didn't want the money," Osbourne said. "He wanted his gig. It gave him something to look forward to when he was diagnosed. Think of the good that it could have done to show other people who have this [condition] that your life is not over."
