Extending its previous session's rally, the Canadian dollar hit 1.0526 against the Australian dollar at around 1:20 pm ET and this set the strongest level for the pair since August 3. The pair closed yesterday's North American session at 1.0575.
The loonie is presently trading near 1.0531 versus the Aussie and the next likely upside target for the pair is seen around the 1.0520 level.
