Monica and her husband Shannon Brown stopped by for a visit at BET's 106 & Park on Monday, August 6.
The "Angel of Mine" singer looked stylish wearing cargo pants from Kanye West's clothing line and talked about her latest studio album, New Life. Although Monica was there talking about her music, the real reason she was there was to support her husband's most recent venture.
The Phoenix Suns baller has launched the Wood Star Music Festival, a three-day event he started in order to give back to his community. The event will run from August 17-19; it benefits the Shannon Brown Foundation.
"Now that sports is a part of my life and music is a part of his, let's bring them both together," said Monica, who will also perform at the event.
Additional performers to take the stage include Robin Thicke, Estelle, Fantasia, and Dawn Richard.
