Germany's industrial production decreased from the previous month in June, data released by the Ministry of Economics and Technology showed Wednesday.
Industrial production decreased a calendar and seasonally adjusted 0.9 percent on a monthly basis in June, reversing the previous month's revised 1.7 percent increase. Economists were looking for a 0.8 percent decline for June.
Compared to June 2011, industrial production dropped 0.3 percent in June, as it did in the preceding month. Economists were looking for a 0.3 percent annual increase.
In the two months ended June, production edged up 0.1 percent compared to the preceding two month period, data showed.
