CommonWealth REIT (CWH) reported that its second-quarter Funds from operations available for common shareholders rose to $66.97 million from $63.49 million in the year ago quarter. FFO was $0.80 per share down from $0.88 per share last year.
Normalized funds from operations, or Normalized FFO, available for CommonWealth REIT common shareholders for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 were $69.8 million, or $0.83 per share, compared to $66.0 million, or $0.91 per share.
Net income available for CommonWealth REIT common shareholders was $2.2 million, compared to $9.5 million for the same quarter last year. Net income for the quarter was $0.03 down from $0.13 last year.
Rental income for the quarter increased to $255.37 million from $217.94 million in the year ago quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.83 per share on revenues of $251.23 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
