PriceSmart, Inc. (PSMT) announced that for the month of July, net warehouse club sales increased 12.5% to $168.5 million from $149.8 million a year earlier. Comparable warehouse sales increased 9.4%, compared to the same period last year.
For the eleven months ended July 31, 2012, net warehouse club sales grew 20.1% to $1.83 billion from $1.53 billion last year. There were 29 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of July 2012 and 28 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of July 2011.
For the forty-seven week period ended July 29, 2011, comparable warehouse sales rose 15.0%, compared to the same period a year ago.
