SkyWest Inc. (SKYW: Quote) reported second quarter net income of $0.33 per share Wednesday morning, up from $0.03 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.14.
SkyWest gapped up sharply Wednesday and climbed in early trade, before settling into a narrow range. The stock closed up by 1.48 at $8.17 on the highest volume of the year. SkyWest rose to over a 2 1/2 month high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
