President Barack Obama announced Thursday a six-person delegation will attend Sunday's closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London to represent the White House.
The delegation includes Susan Rice, the U.S.'s permanent envoy to the United Nations; Reggie Love, Obama's former personal aide; former Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan, who is now a member of a presidential panel on physical fitness; U.S. ambassador to Great Britain Louis Susman; deputy national security advisor Benjamin Rhodes; and former professional baseball player Curtis Pride, who is also a member of a presidential panel on physical fitness.
Rice will lead the delegation, which will attend events and meet with U.S. athletes.
The Olympics' opening ceremonies were attended by First Lady Michelle Obama, who also met with American athletes and attended an event for her anti-childhood obesity program.
