Silver Wheaton To Pay Quarterly Dividend Of US$0.10 On Or About Sept 13

Silver Wheaton Corp.(SLW: Quote,SLW.TO: Quote), a silver streaming company Thursday announced a decision to pay a dividend of US$0.10 per common share payable on or about September 13, 2012 to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 30, 2012. The dividend qualifies as an "eligible dividend" for Canadian income tax purposes, said Silver Wheaton.

Under the Company's dividend policy, the quarterly dividend per common share is equal to 20% of the cash generated by operating activities in the previous quarter divided by the Company's outstanding common shares at the time the dividend is approved, all rounded to the nearest cent.

The company also said that the declaration, timing, amount and payment of future dividends will remain at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

On Thursday, Silver Wheaton closed at $30.31 on the TSX.

Publishing and design software maker Adobe Systems Inc. said Tuesday after the markets closed that its second quarter profit fell 66% from last year, hurt by lower revenue as well as higher costs and expenses. However, the company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, came in above analysts' expectations and its quarterly revenue was in line with analysts' forecast. Stocks showed a strong upward move over the course of the trading day on Tuesday, adding to the gains posted in the previous session. In a potential roadblock to comprehensive immigration reform legislation, House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, indicated Tuesday that he would not bring a bill to the floor unless it is supported by a majority of House Republicans.
