Romania's industrial production rose in June, following a decline in the previous month, data released by the National Institute of Statistics showed Friday.
Industrial production increased on a working day-and-seasonally adjusted 1.4 percent from a year earlier. In May, production declined 0.2 percent.
The growth was led by a 6.7 percent increase in the utility sector output and a 3.9 percent rise in the mining and quarrying production. Manufacturing output declined 0.1 percent.
Month-on-month, industrial production dropped 0.4 percent in June, after a 0.6 percent decline in May.
In the first half of the year, industrial production rose 0.9 percent from the same period last year. Manufacturing output edged up 0.1 percent.
