Industrial production in Slovenia increased from last year in June, data released by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Friday.
Output in the industrial sector increased 2.8 percent on an annual basis in June. Mining and quarrying production rose 1.9 percent annually, while manufacturing production moved up 0.7 percent. There was a 27.8 percent annual growth in the production of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning during the month.
Compared to June 2011, industrial production increased in intermediate goods industries by 3.6 percent, in capital goods industries by 2.4 percent and in consumer goods industries by 3.5 percent.
Month-on-month, production advanced 2.9 percent in June. In the January-June period, industrial output moved up 0.4 percent from the corresponding period a year earlier, data showed.
