Brad Paisley and Mat Kearney are teaming up to write some music together, something Kearney was a bit intimidated about at first.

"Brad says he's a fan and invited me over to write songs," Kearney tells the Leesville Daily Leader.

"You don't say no to him. It was a little nerve-wracking at first. But then you get out there, and he's super humble. He's like a workaholic, awesome musician. After the first 15 minutes, it was like writing a song like you would with one of your friends."

In addition to the possibility of new music, both men are keeping busy. Kearney is currently opening for Train, and Paisley is rumored to be joining American Idol. He will host the CMA Awards on November 1 alongside Carrie Underwood.
