Yen Eases From Early Highs Against Major Rivals

The Japanese yen eased from early morning session's uptrend against major currencies during New York mid-day deals on Friday. After hitting new multi-day highs of 78.17 against the US dollar, 95.74 versus the euro, 79.74 against the Swiss franc and 121.83 versus the British pound at around 9:35 am ET, the yen reversed its direction and as now worth 78.26, 96.22, 80.14 and 122.66, respectively.

The Japanese currency also edged down against its Australian, New Zealand and Canadian counterparts from previous session's upward trading in today's mid-day session. Currently, the yen is trading near 78.93 against the loonie, 63.58 versus the kiwi and 82.68 against the Aussie from early multi-day highs of 78.51, 63.34 and 82.28, respectively.
