Excluding the effect of mark-to-market accounting adjustments, net income for the latest-quarter was C$46.3 million or C$0.37 per share, compared to C$32.0 million or C$0.26 per share last year. Earnings in the quarter included an C$11.6 million after-tax gain realized on Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (Algonquin) subscription receipts.
