The Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is all set to announce Paul Davis Ryan as his running mate to the white house, media reports quoting Campaign sources said.
Romney would be announcing his Vice Presidential Candidate in Norfolk, Virginia around 9:00 am ET. According to reports, the duo would appear together at the Nauticus Museum and will begin a four-state bus tour to introduce the newly-minted GOP ticket to the nation.
Ryan won election to the United States House of Representatives in 1998 and has been the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district since 1999.
Romney's choice for Ryan as his VP candidate was quite in contrast to the result of a poll on Thursday, at which the Florida Senator Marco Rubio became the most popular choice for Romney's running mate.
Among a field of seven possible vice presidential choices, Rubio came out ahead, claiming 28 percent of respondents in the CNN/ORC poll, while Paul Ryan won only 16 percent vote.
