The Beatles, Doors and Rolling Stones are to be featured in a My Music series to be aired on PBS called Ed Sullivan's Top Performers.
This special series will showcase performances from some of rock n' roll's most classic acts like the Mamas & The Papas, The Turtles, the Fifth Dimension and Tom Jones and The Association.
"This special takes you back to the original moments of the artists and songs when they first broke," said TJ Lubinsky, whose company TJL Productions co-produced the show, in a release. "[With] a focus on the late '60s, this collection of rock and roll classics exemplifies the defining backbeat in the soundtrack of our lives."
There will also be a multiple-CD set titled Pop, Rock and Soul, which will include these performances from Ed Sullivan's Top Performers, along with tracks from artists such as the Beach Boys, the Lovin' Spoonful, The Who and Van Morrison.
