Miley Cyrus has debuted her short new hairstyle, which some are calling "shocking" and "drastic."
The "Party in the U.S.A." singer tweeted a photo of her hairstylist, Chris McMillan, about to chop of her hair. When her fans started to discourage her from cutting her locks, Cyrus tweeted:
"It's happening. if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)"
Since then Cyrus has posted several pictures of her new look and standing by her choice to cut her hair, she later tweeted:
"my dad @billyraycyrus used to tell me "opinions are are like ass holes every body has one" LOVE my hair ? feel so happy, pretty, and free."
