Performances by Oasis, Elbow and the Spice Girls at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony led to a boost in album sales for each of the artists.
Oasis performed their 1995 hit "Wonderwall," which lifted their album of the same year, (What's the Story) Morning Glory, to the 34 spot on iTunes' album chart.
Elbow's performance brought their LP The Seldom Seen Kid to number six on the chart, while the Spice Girls Greatest Hits LP is up to number 11.
Liam Gallagher and the Spice Girls celebrated their performances by partying all night together. Spice girl Emma Bunton posted an early morning pic of the partiers to Twitter along with the message, "Party till the break of dawn, and Mel is still in her outfit."
