Kristin Chenoweth has opted to part ways with "The Good Wife" to recover from injuries she sustained while shooting the show earlier this summer. Chenoweth was on-set in Brooklyn when a piece of lighting reportedly came down, rendering her unconscious in July.
According to a report from TMZ.com, Chenoweth was struck by the lighting piece and severely hit her head on a side walk. Reps from FDNY told the site that the actress was being treated for "minor injuries" and had been transported to Bellevue Hospital.
The "West Wing" and "Glee" star now says that she will take her leave from the show:
"It is with deep regret I inform everyone that due to my injuries I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time," she said in an official statement.
She also recently updated fans on her condition writing: "Getting better slowly and thank you everyone for your concern."
