Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney's Brothers of the Sun tour set an attendance record as the largest ticketed country event in New Jersey history, selling 56,285 tickets at Jersey's MetLife Stadium on August 13.
Chesney himself set the previous record during last year's Goin' Coastal tour; a feat which impressed interim MetLife Stadium President Ron VanDeVeen:
"The excitement and buzz for this show was through the roof since the day it was announced. We couldn't imagine how last year's Goin' Coastal show could be topped, but this truly was the biggest country show we've ever seen."
This week the Brothers of the Sun tour also broke the million ticket mark, making it Pollstar's biggest tour of 2012.
"I want to thank you for having us back, and thank you for letting us be a part of your summer," Chesney told the crowd. "After tonight we only have four shows left, and we're gonna take this night with us all winter."
