Chris Brown has shut down rumors that he and Drake have accepted the opportunity to square off in a charity boxing match. Word broke over the weekend that the pair had been booked for a short bout in the ring at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas on September 22.
According to Breezy, however, there is no truth to the rumor and it's merely a publicity stunt:
"No [a fight is not planned]. This is a sad attempt at PR for the people who were/are promoting it."
Word of the possible grudge match first broke earlier this summer when celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman said he had lined up an investor willing to pay each singer $1 million each to enter the ring:
"Obviously they have a grudge. It's just three one-minute rounds. No one will get seriously hurt," he told the New York Daily News.
