Evelyn Lozada, best known for appearing on VH1's "Basketball Wives," has reportedly filed for divorce from NFL star Chad Johnson. The former Miami Dolphins receiver, who has also gone by the name Chad Ochocinco, was arrested earlier this week after reportedly head butting Lozada during an argument outside their Miami home.
Johnson was taken into custody on Saturday evening after the pair reportedly had an argument over a receipt for condoms found in their car. Johnson was battling for a position with the Dolphins after a lackluster season in New England last year and was released from his contract hours after news of the incident broke.
"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death," Johnson said in a statement on his website Tuesday.
