CBS' long running game show "The Price Is Right" will soon welcome its first male models. The show, which uses models to display the prizes available to contestants, has to this point only used female models.
According to a new report from hollywoodreporter.com, producers for "The Price Is Right" will hold an open casting call in Los Angeles on August 30. The male models will also reportedly be interviewed by the current crop of female models who appear on the show.
The search for the show's first male model will be documented in a five-part web series and the winning model will be revealed on September 28. He will then begin his duties showing off prizes on October 15. The show has had a tenuous relationship with models in the past, with several lawsuits filed against former host Bob Barker and the production staff for sexual harassment, gender discrimination and wrongful termination.
