New York Mortgage Trust Inc. (NYMT) Wednesday said it commenced an public offering of 10 million common shares. The company also intends to grant underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1.5 million shares.
New York Mortgage plans to use the proceeds to acquire certain of its targeted assets, including commercial mortgage-backed securities collateralized by multi-family loans and agency residential mortgage-backed securities.
