The Smithsonian's National Museum of American history will reopen its exact replica of Julia Child's famed kitchen in Boston to honor her 100th birthday anniversary on August 15. The beloved exhibit was initially opened in 2001, but was later closed to due remodeling in the museum.

The kitchen will once again be recreated in its entirety in a new location, where the museum's Hall of Agriculture was formerly housed. The exhibit has been closed since earlier this year and the Smithsonian's Rayna Green says they were dedicated to reopen the exhibit by her birthday:

"We just had to make the 100th," says Green, adding that guests "have been begging us since the exhibit closed in early January."

Many items from Child's original kitchen will appear in the exhibit including a coffeemaker and a countertop mounted crab claw cracker.
