The former home of John Lennon is up for sale and has a steep asking price of £15 million. The Kenwood mansion is located in St George's Hill area of Weybridge, England. Lennon lived there from 1964 to 1968 with his first wife Cynthia, before getting divorced and moving to New York City with Yoko Ono.
The property is described by estate agents Knight Frank as a "luxuriously finished family home, formerly owned by John Lennon, set in about 1.5 acres of exquisite gardens within the renowned St George's Hill Estate."
The former Beatle purchased the home for just £20,000 on July 15, 1964. He then sold it to Bill Martin, who wrote songs such as "Puppet On A String" and "Congratulations," for £40,000 in 1968. It has changed hands a number of times since, most recently being sold for £5.8 million in January 2007.
The home also appeared in the 1988 documentary Imagine: John Lennon via archival footage.
