Kix Brooks hosted a special benefit concert for the Monroe Carell Jr. Vanderbilt Children's Hospital at his recently opened Arrington Vineyards winery this past weekend.
Cost of admission, along with proceeds from T-shirts, commemorative Hatch Show prints, and bottles of wine that were sold during the day's events all went to benefit the hospital, which Kix has served on the board for 20 years.
During the show, the Brooks & Dunn member told the audience: "I'd like to thank Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and everybody that's involved. We are really, really fortunate to have a hospital like this in our community."
"No children are turned away at Vanderbilt," Brooks continued. "They take care of everybody up there . . . it's not a money thing. It's a hospital, but it's full of loving and caring."
Brooks announced at the end of the night that he plans to make the "Harvest Party" into an annual event.
