The Academy of Country Music has announced that its monthly My Cause web feature is Zac Brown Band's Camp Southern Ground. The web feature helps raise awareness for a new cause each month, while supporting fundraising for said cause.
Zac's Camp Southern Ground was "inspired to create based on his experiences growing up as a camp counselor," according to ACM:
"The camp encompasses 500 acres of farmland in Brown's home state of Georgia. Camp Southern Ground's mission is to allow children to overcome academic, social and emotional difficulties and to provide them with the opportunity and tools necessary to achieve excellence in all facets of their lives."
Brown's camp opens in the spring of 2015. Interested parties can watch an ACM produced video about the cause here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyZh8y2hXME&feature=youtu.be
