Three new Beck tracks have been circulating the web, "Cities," "Spiral Staircase" and "Touch the People." The songs are included on the new video game, Sound Shapes, which was released August 7.
The game is music-oriented in that it allows users to create complex beats through their achievements within the side-scrolling platform. They will also be able to generate their own levels and music for the game.
Additional artists contributing to the game's soundtrack include deadmau5, I Am Robot and Proud and Jim Guthrie, who previously offered up songs to Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery EP.
Sound Shapes will be available on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Beck's latest album, Song Reader, will be released in sheet music form only via Faber & Faber. It will be comprised of notation for 20 unrecorded songs. It's due in December.
