Community Health Systems Completes Offering Of $1.6 Bln Notes Due 2018

Community Health Systems Inc. (CYH: Quote) Friday said its its subsidiary CHS/Community Health Systems Inc. completed the offering of $1.6 billion senior secured notes due 2018.

The size of the offering was increased by $350 million subsequent to the initial announcement of the proposed offering, the company said.

The company has used the proceeds to prepay a portion of certain term loans outstanding under its senior credit facilities and to pay related fees and expenses.
