Hibbett Sports Inc. (HIBB) reported second quarter net income of $0.30 per share Friday morning, up from $0.21 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.28. Revenues came in at $165.45 million, up from $153.13 million in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for revenues of $169.66 million.
The company also increased its full year 2013 EPS forecast to between $2.57 and $2.67, from prior expectations of $2.50 to $2.65. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.66.
Hibbett Sports gapped open lower Friday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed down by 2.58 at $59.22 on the highest volume of the year.
