ZAGG CEO Robert Pedersen Steps Down

ZAGG Inc. (ZAGG: Quote), a mobile device accessories and technology company, said Friday that its CEO and Chairman Robert Pedersen II has stepped down.

The President and COO of the company Randall Hales has been appointed interim CEO by the Board of Directors, and Cheryl Larabee has been appointed to serve as Chairperson of the Board of Directors, effective immediately.

ZAGG also noted that its board of directors will conduct a search for a new permanent CEO. Hales will retain his board seat and Larabee will remain the Chairperson of the Audit Committee, as well as member of the Nominating and Governance Committee, and the Compensation Committee.

The company reiterated its full year guidance for 2012 revenue of $256 million.

Existing home sales in the U.S. saw a modest increase in the month of April, according to a report released by the National Association of Realtors on Wednesday. NAR said existing home sales climbed 0.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.97 million in April from an upwardly revised 4.94 million in March.
