Taiwan's export orders declined by 4.39 percent in July from a year ago, data from the Ministry of Economic Affairs showed Monday.
The annual fall exceeded the 2.98 percent drop forecast by economists. The decline was largely driven by weak demand for electrical appliances and basic metals.
On a monthly basis, export orders were down 1.22 percent in July.
